Facts of Life™ lactation education offers a comprehensive lactation specific examination preparation program, CERP short courses for IBCLCs© and a midwifery-update program. All lactation education is aligned to the IBLCE© Detailed Content Outline to prepare applicants for the IBLCE© examination or support the Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative.

Developed in Australia, the lactation education has global relevance. The design of each course is evidence-based and enables you to enrol and activate the course at your convenience. The smaller, more manageable courses have a structured sequencing to take you from a foundational knowledge to a deeper learning experience.

Lactation Consultant Examination Preparation Program

This program is designed for health professionals to prepare for the International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC©). The program consists of 13 individual modules addressing all aspects of the IBLCE Content Outline totaling 130 hours of exam prep.

IBCLCs© require CERPs to recertify and remain contemporary in the practice of lactation management. The CERP short courses include Ethics for IBCLCs© and compliance with the International Code of Marketing of Breast-milk Substitutes.

This 20-hour course is for health professionals who work with mothers, babies and families and want to upskill their knowledge and skills to better support breastfeeding. The course is aligned with the Baby Friendly Hospital (Health) Initiative requirements.
