Course Learning Outcomes

  2. Critically analyse preterm breastmilk composition to evaluate its role in supporting immune protection, neurodevelopment, and growth in premature populations.
  3. Critically evaluate maternal mental health, neurological disorders, and medication safety to develop evidence-based breastfeeding support and risk management strategies.
  4. Evaluate the impact of intimate partner violence on lactation and maternal wellbeing to inform trauma-informed assessment and safeguarding strategies.
  5. Critically evaluate lactation physiology and support needs of gender-diverse and transgender parents to develop inclusive, evidence-based breastfeeding care strategies.
