Vulnerable populations and situations that require closer monitoring such as breastfeeding preterm babies feature in this course. Additionally, human milk banks and milk sharing, LGBTIQ, women with mental health and wellbeing, multiple births, gender diverse people, breastfeeding for adolescent women, women with body dysmorphia, women with PTSD and more are examined.
Course Information
This course is equivalent to 13 hours of learning. The course is one of thirteen (13) courses that make up the Lactation Consultant Examination Preparation (Exam Prep - EP) program. Courses in the Exam Prep program may be studied as an individual course based on your interest or education requirements.
The 13 completed hours can be used as:
- Comprehensive education related to the lactation specific education for the IBLCE® examination eligibility, and/or,
- Continuing Professional Development for medical officers, midwives, nurses, and allied health professionals.
*The 13 hours are calculated on completion of the essential course content - Additional Resources materials are supplementary and therefore not included in the 13 hours.
Access Time
